As we delve into the second quarter of 2024, the fitness app landscape on Android devices continues to evolve. Sensor Tower provides us with a snapshot of how the top five fitness and weight loss applications have fared during this period in the United States.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a slight fluctuation in downloads starting with nearly 3K in the first week of April and peaking at over 3.5K in early May before stabilizing around the 2.9K mark towards the end of June. Weekly active users saw a high of approximately 152K in late April, indicating a robust user base. Revenue trends showed a mid-quarter dip but recovered to around $13K towards the end of June.

For komoot - hike, bike & run, downloads began at over 6K, dipped to around 3.5K in mid-May, and saw a slight increase to 3.7K by the end of June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a starting point of nearly 50K users, a dip in late May, and a rise back to around 45K users. Revenue for komoot fluctuated, ending the quarter at nearly $8K.

YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter showed consistent download numbers beginning at 1.1K and achieving a peak of 1.9K in mid-June. Active users started strong at around 66K, peaked at 73K in early June, and ended the quarter with 69K active users. Revenue trends saw a decline from $6.7K to $4.5K by the end of the quarter.

Fitbit maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, hovering around 700 downloads per week, with a noticeable increase to over 600 in the last week of June. Weekly active users remained consistent with just under 50K users. Revenue saw a significant increase in the last week, jumping to over $6K.

Lastly, Start 2 Run began the quarter with over 700 downloads, reached over 1K in late April, and tapered off to 450 by the end of June. The revenue for Start 2 Run showed a similar downward trend, starting at $2.4K and ending at just over $2K.
